What is Life Coaching?

Are Life Coaching and Therapy different?

Yes. Coaching is oriented to the present and the future. While coaching is not therapy, it may feel like a healing experience. Coaching will help you to identify your goals, deepest desires and hopes by encouraging your creativity, self-exploration and planning skills. Therapy, on the other hand, involves the diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions including mood disorders, addiction and trauma. Therapy typically involves healing wounds that occurred in the past related to traumatic injury and which contribute to subsequent pain, suffering and persistent mental health problems.

Are you a coach or therapist?

I have the education, experience and expertise to practice both.  

My certification as a Transformational Life Coach is from Leadership That Works, Coaching for Transformation program, accredited by the International Coach Federation. When we are engaged in a coaching relationship I use coaching skills to help you to achieve your life goals.

I am a Registered Drama Therapist and a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist in New York State. I use my therapy skills when I work with clients who live in NYS needing a therapeutic model of care.

What are your rates?

The cost of a 50 minute coaching session is $250. Between-session email and text support is included. Sliding scale rates are available.

Payment can be made with credit card. A three month commitment is the minimum time recommended to achieve meaningful change.

How do I get started?

Coaching takes place via video conferencing or in person. I offer a free 30 minute exploratory call.
